this is really farfetch'd but uhhhh say Ashura resided in Minato or Jiraiya. When both of them died, Naruto gained a power up each time.
If Indra resided in Orochimaru, this would explain why Oro would want to take Sasuke's body. To my knowledge, the spirits can't possess more than one person at a time. Sooo
the reason Oro wants to possess Sasuke is because Indra knows that Ashura is within Naruto now! That being said, it would be the perfect reason to "stay ahead/stay on par"
with Ashura/Naruto. The fact that Orochimaru hasn't died yet, means that Indra cannot yet move his soul, unless he uses Orochimaru to practically do it for him.
And maybe...just maybe...Kaguya's chakra resides in someone like Tsunade (because of the strong life force)...or Hinata (because of the celestial similarities)...lawlz. And the moment one of them dies, Kaguya would possess Sakura
granting her the final power-up she needs to be on par with Naruto and Sasuke. With this power up, she could gain some form of a sage mode (somewhat leaning towards Chatte's
theory here). And the three would finally be able to take on Madara, no bijuu needed.
As you can see, Naruto no longer has kurama inside of him. In the panel where Ashura and Indra were facing off, it is speculated whether or not Ashura was a jin or whether
he was just harnessing kurama's power or his own chakra. If we assume that it was his own chakra, it would mean that Naruto would not need to power of kurama to be on par
with Sasuke.
I do believe it will take Sakura to help Naruto and Sasuke bring down Madara. The only way that is possible though, is with the aforementioned powerup possibilities. Is
it coincidence that kishi made Sakura go along with gaara, and not Sakura AND Hinata, or someone else? She has to be there for a purpose. She has no power when she's
low on chakra, just like Naruto "has no power" now without Kurama. And Sasuke has no power now because...well he's near death (lol)
i know i may be reaching quite a bit, but with this latest chapter mentioning all these spirits and stuff has my mind racing with possibilities.
