In the latest chapter YH mentions that the right hand of the SK is going against the SK's will. It is said in both translations, could this mean that the SK wanted to die? It also makes me wonder if the SK didn't want to be in that position in the first place. Notice the crystal around him like maybe he is imprisoned. That is probably not true though. This chapter does reinforce my belief that Aizen is being set up as the new soul king though because kyoraku told him tht their interests would align soon. I think Aizens main interest was becoming the SK. Also yoruichis actions in This chapter made it seem like she could make anyone SK.

idk where you read it but here ywach says that the right hand no longer has to follow his will so why is he helping. nothing here indicates what you are saying about the right hand. tho again its all about the translation you read. could you post your version and where you read it?

Who knows, maybe the soul king eventually did come to hate his job, it'd be funny though if that wasn't the,real soul king and merely a clone of him. I wonder why the soul king is encased though, is it for the same reason as Yhwach? Like he can't move unless he continuously absorbs energy (souls) from others but soul king could most likely do this on a greater degree than Yhwach so he had to be "sealed". Aizen becoming the new soul king is a but redundant, maybe the soul king will just get rebuilt because even for someone on Aizen level, you need a heck a ton of reitsu to sustain hueco mundo, the entire human world,AND soul society, and Then some? Yeah not even Aizen has that kind of power, Aizen isn't even interested anymore now that Yhwach has decimated soul society (technically Ichigo) so it's a weird situation.

The scan you posted can be interpreted both ways.
"Why are you following his will if you dont have to, i see how it is..." and "Oh, you dont have to follow his will because you are cut off from him, I see..." I interpreted it the second way, but the other translation is much more clear.

I doubt Aizen will be soul king, Kubo would have to pull such a giant plot hole out of his backside for that one that he wouldn't be able to sit down for a month. Aizen may be on the SS side briefly but only an idiot would put him in such a place of power, having Aizen in any position to exert his will would be ridiculous considering he is the manga biggest villain

But what if it really isnt a position of power and more like someone being forced to hold two train cars together, like what if he really is nothing but a linchpin and thats why he is in that crystal, like he cant escape it.

maybe they plan to trick him, or maybe its because the SK is cruel and unjust like aizen and YH have implied and Aizen aims to fix it.

I don't believe Aizen wants to fix anything, I think his aim has always been to exact his will, perhaps the SK is cruel it would make sense considering how the SS is run, its not exactly union friendly. Aizen would be very hard if not impossible to trick. Hmm, Kubo if nothing else is unpredictable
