Chapter 661: The Sorrows of Shinobi
The chapter opens with Madara pulling the Bijuu towards the Gedo Mazo. They do not have the power to free themselves and are easily pulled in. Gyuki manages to successfully part a tentacle from the main body, which contains Killer Bee. From the distance the shinobi watch, fearing for young Naruto.
Ninja Fodder: "We must save Naruto!!!!!"
Sasuke: "!!!!"
Sasuke, from a distance, prepares an arrow on the crossbow-like weapon and fires one. The arrow travels at a high speed, directed at the chain pulling Kurama out of Naruto. Madara quickly takes action and stares at the area around the chain, timing the Rinbo Hengoku precisely enough to repel the arrow.
Madara: "Just let it go already! Your friend can finally rest and dream about the peace he so desperately wanted!"
Madara chuckles while the Bijuu are pulled into the Gedo Mazo. Naruto is left in mid-air, falling down to the ground. The tentacle that had been severed transforms into a panting Killer Bee. He drops onto his face, trying to cling to his dear life. A majority of Gyuki has been extracted from the shinobi. Minato realizes that his son is in danger and throws a kunai at him.
Minato: "Naruto!!!! Forgive me Kakashi......But my son!!"
Minato instantly uses Flying Thunder God to transport to the kunai and catch his son, landing moments after. Kakashi is left behind to battle Zetsu-Obito.
Minato: "Naruto!!! Naruto!!! Please, do not die on me!!!!"
The shinobi look on with worried expressions. Tears begin to form at the corners of Hinata's eyes as she makes her way to Naruto. Sakura also begins to cry. Sasuke stares as Minato holds his seemingly dead son in his arms. His eyes close, tears managing to escape and drop down to the ground. He begins to see images of the past with Naruto. When they were both on team 7. The Susano'o around his grows larger and begins growing armor plating to resemble a tengu-samurai. However, unlike Madara's, Sasuke's blade is made of the black flames of Amaterasu and there is a large shield in the other hand.
Sasuke: "Na-Naruto.........."
A is devastated by his brother's frail appearance and so he rushes to his side along Omoi, Darui, C, and Karui. Tears are cascading from their eyes as stand by their sensei's side.
A: "Bee!! No! No! No.....You can't go like this!"
Killer Bee struggles to remove his shades that he has always kept on his face, handing them to Omoi.
Killer Bee: "Yo....This is looking like the end........Keep these shades to remember me as a friend....Y-Yah dig?"
Gyuki's chakra isn't enough to prevent Killer Bee's death
The extraction was too much for his body. Omoi takes the shades while the rest weep. A seems to take the death much harder. Madara can't help himself from laughing at the waterworks before him. But the massive Susano'o manifesting around Sasuke captures his attention.
Madara: "What's this? Hmph. I guess I can dance while the Gedo Mazo changes back...."
Kanji symbols form at Madara's fingertips as he jumps off the statue's head. He lunges forward with his Susano'o activated and once he is far enough places his hand on the ground, activating a dome like barrier made of flames. It looks to be a stronger version of the one Obito used. From there Madara's Susano'o changes into it's stabilized form.
Madara: "Let the fun begin!!"
The scenery changes to a luscious field. Beautiful to any that can see it. Naruto stands there, lost.
Naruto: "Where am I?"
Familiar Male Voice: "Naruto...."
Naruto faces the direction from which the voice came and his eyes widen at who he sees.
Naruto: "Pervy......Sage?"
What is Jiraiya doing here!? And where is Naruto!? Find out next week!
