Itachi ( along with whole Uchiha clan) ended up a victim in Obito's game plan- Attacking Konoha using Kurama, causing death of a popular hokage and general destruction to the vllage, while presumed dead and thus implicating Uchihas as a clan and in the long run making Konoha itself lose a powerful group of shinobi clan which could have been stood by it. Then Obito goes and starts the next shinobi war and almost succeeds and then switches sides when he loses and cause Kaguya's defeat. Itachi himself needed Obito's help to wipe out the whole clan within a night. While an enraged Obito took the whole Mist nin unit out by himself.
And you seriously put Itachi above Obito when analyzing their individual capabilities?
