Edit: Orochimaru said if Sasuke wants to destroy the village, he will and the Edo Tensei Hokage would help them.

Granted, they would probably be fighting Hashirama.

The thing is: It was oro who used edo tensei on the hokages. It was edo minato that warped that first giant bijuu dama, and now it was a collab between naruto and minato and kurama to save everyone again.
My point is that this is not about individual actions. It was everybody working together(the important chars) that could save everyone.

this could be said of every character. tobirama teleported juubito's attack, so everyone should lick his feet. naruto saved everyone multiple times by giving them kyuubi chakra, everyone should lick his feet. itachi stopped edo tensei, everyone should lick his feet. gai and kakashi saved naruto from obito so everyone should lick their feet. see what i mean? just read the manga and dont overstate a character just cause you like them.

The hokage themselves chose to participate in the war. If they refused to, Orochimaru wouldn't be able to do much (especially to Hashirama).

Also, Sasuke is partially responsible for the current mess. He brought one of Gyuuki's tails to Obito which allowed him to revive the Juubi.
