That's it.
He could've implanted them on anyone with a large chakra pool, like Kisame for example.
Uzumaki just aren't that special as people make them out to be.

actually you are wrong...if the uzumakis are distant relatives of senjus...and if sage has some uzumaki blood manifested in his red hair color...and if rinnegan is awakned through combination of uchiha and senju powers...then it makes perfect sence to discuss the role of uzumaki blood in awakening the Rinnegan
