Till this day the sharingan never lost its hype in the NV. It is still feared and envied. Buntan wanted to take Saradas 1 tomoe sharingan because it easily rivaled her legendary sword. How powerful is the sharingan? Even at its most basic stage it maintains a plethora of abilities the average or above average ninja can't hope to fight against.

Even the Hyuuga stans want the sharingan abilities for the byakugan like precog and teleportation but it's too bad it's not as good. The jougan could be the true rival of the sharingan but we will have to wait and see.
