The "shadow"

Do you believe in something similar to the "devil"...like, something, or maybe even some kind of manifested "shadow" or "After image" of yourself that manipulates your thought processes/patterns? I think some people are fully in tune with their shadows and push evil agendas. You'll notice some people fully succumb to their evil and say or do things for no reason.

The "shadow" has the most control over those with religious beliefs, mental/personality disorders,compulsive behavior(people that just totally give into their habits and urges), poor judgement,insecurities or ANYTHING that is infantile, spreads distortions,and basically leaves an OPENING. People who don't have "security" or lack better understanding within themselves...that is the "opening". You're vulnerable, your susceptible, and it's easier for the "shadow" to STEER you into doing something pure evil.

This "shadow" is like a dark after image of yourself, and is a manifestation of whatever evil or misunderstanding you have within yourself and ENCOURAGES it...works off of it. Pushing you further and further into oblivion.

When you die, you finally leave this shadow behind. Not sure what happens to the darkness, though. I think the soul is egoless and cannot contain any evil.

The most evil and repressed, are the "goodie two shoes" that cleverly hide their deceit. They're not as simple to detect, so they're more likely to get away with things.They're very "psychological" with things and very mentally manipulative.Doing to you what's being done to them...a chain.They have people convinced of their "act", this little "act" they like to put on, and they avoid or scapegoat people who they know can see straight through them.

As for my shadow,

The shadow is a "mimicker"...it's not you, but it REFLECTS whatever distorted self-sabotaging traits you have whether minuscule or not, it's goal is to PUSH you further into those traits...become SWALLOWED by them, and even get into something even darker. It "distorts" your reality.

Some people are so "Fused" with their shadow. Compulsive behavior.

We live our lives by choosing what we think is "right" or "wrong". But, not everyone has the courage to always choose the "right"... That's when the devil side enters and slowly changes their values and definition of good and bad,right or wrong. Tho, these definitions are largely affected by the society and what our parents have thought us(the coz of personality disorders and insecurities is made/has happened in the person's childhood and the way that his/her parents threatened them).

We can close the openings you mentioned above by reading books(valuable ones...not just any) ,studying ourselves,and controlling our desires and instincts(simple example, someone likes eating sweets and fastfood. If (s)he doesn't hole him/herself back, (s)he will eat more than what his/her body needs and will get fat. Same could be said about laziness,lust,etc) .

As for the soul... I agree that the soul itself is "shadowless"... But the darkness will not just go away and leave the soul unaffected.

The shadow, is simply made by our choices. And it will grow or disappear the same way. It directly reflects our humanity,courage,will,and self awareness(how much we have/lack them, and how many times have we won over the shadow or just simply gave in). The lesser the shadow,the brighter the soul. The brighter the soul,the more humanity.The more humanity,the more love. The more love,the more "being a human".
