The Senju were the strongest clan? Really?

Kishimoto tried to show us on the manga that the Senju were superior to the Uchiha. Is it really true? The portrayal of the Uchiha clearly shows that more Uchiha were born with greater potential than the Senju. (It's a long read below, please take your time)

So far, we have seen a total of 6 Uchiha in the manga (Madara, Izuna, Obito, Shisui, Itachi & Sasuke), all of them were shown to be able to activate Mangekyou Sharingan. We all know how massive an upgrade is from 3-tomoe Sharingan. The senju were said to be able to beat the Uchiha with their superior chakra and stamina. Which means a senju at full power is greater than an Uchiha with MS

What is a Senju with full power? Is it Hashirama? We have seen Hashirama overwhelming EMS Madara and 100% Kurama at the same time. Was Hashirama able to do that because he was a Senju? No. Hashirama was able to do that because of his personal Kekkei Genkai, the Mokuton, or wood release. His Senju cells just amplified his Mokuton powers. People like Orochimaru were only after Hashirama's cell because of Hashi's mokuton cells, not senju. Nobody wanted Tobirama's cells.

This is because being a Senju gives you nothing other than high chakra reserves and great stamina. Being born in Senju clan doesn't give you any special ability. Tobirama had to develope brand new jutsu like FTG, Edo Tensei etc to be on par with his brother. Still he was nowhere near Hashirama in strength.

Where as all the Uchiha except Izuna has displayed unique Mangekyou Sharingan abilities. Madara's perfect Susanoo was huge, Shisui had Kotoamatsukami, Obito has double Kamui; Itachi has Tsukoyumi, Yata Mirror and Totsuka Sword; Sasuke has Enton Kagutsuchi. None of the Uchiha has shown others individual unique jutsu mentioned above, which indicates they're indeed exclusive to each Uchiha who are able to unlock Mangekyou Sharingan.

According to the portrayal of both the Senju and Uchiha, it can be safely said that the Uchiha are, by far, the most superior clan in Naruto. Hashirama alone doesn't represent the whole Senju clan, none of the other senju were born with Mokuton Kekkei Genkai before and after him. Where's every Uchiha is born with the ability to unlock Mangekyou Sharingan, most with unique abilities of their own. So far we've got 1 special Senju and 5 special Uchiha (excl. Izuna)

The manga statement of Senju being superior to Uchiha has been contradicted by canon portrayal of the characters. In the past, the Senju might have had more special people like Hashirama, but from what we have seen, Uchiha > Senju in general

(I know most Uchiha were fodder, but so were most senju and people from every clan)

You are right. Hashirama and his bro were the most notable senjus and thats only one family but there has been many generation of superior uchiha.

It's not necessarily the KKG that makes them strong, it's the notable clan members.

The Senju clan it seems, had EXTREME talent, all with potent chakra. I mean Hashirama and Tobirama for example, were able to throw of Orochimaru's Edo Tensei (Tobirama only before Orochimaru strengthened the control). That's the point of them though, potent and large chakra reserves, and clan members that are geniuses. We only REALLY know three of the Senju, and all were Hokage.

Hashirama with Sage Mode, Wood Release, Ashuras incarnation...etc.

Tobirama with FTG, hardcore suiton, Edo Tensei, invented Kage Bunshin, etc.

Tsunade with Strength of a Hundred, Superhuman strength, etc.

AND the Senju Clan actually gave birth to a useful female in Naruto. I hate to sound bad, but Naruto as a series has done terribly with woman being Shinobi after Part I.

Yes, we know Itachi, Obito, Sasuke, Shisui, Madara and Izuna etc...

But, those clans have actually gotten SCREENTIME due to one of the main characters actually being an established Uchiha (Sasuke) so we've seen more of what they can do. I mean I just listed six Uchiha with the MS that we actually have ANY kind of knowledge about.

Yet we REALLY only know three Senju's fighting abilities. Apparently, Toka Senju (look her up...) was known to be gifted with Genjutsu.

All it really comes down to is, we've had a lot more backstory on the Uchiha to challenge the theory that the Senju were the strongest, but I'd take Hashirama at face value when he said the Senju were superior, considering how modest he actually is.

I mean, the Senju clan died off of unknown means. We have no idea how they came to be basically extinct.

Tobirama in general seems to be like a Sharingan detective, having made central abilities on how to deal with those haxxed eyes (FTG, Kage Bunshin)

Kishimoto has also made ridiculous hyperboles and created hype which he failed to prove. He intended to make the senju clan look stronger but he failed. And worst of all, Senju clan is extinct without any reason, which shows Uchiha were better survivor

I believe they were. Senju came from Ashura who did ultimately beat Indra, who was the ancestor of the Uchiha.

You know I have to wholeheartedly agree. Other than Hashirama, the manga clearly portrays Uchiha as the strongest clan. They have the potential to best any Bijuu with 3T Sharingan bar Kurama, which requires the unlocking of MS - something many Uchihas possessed.

Throughout the manga we have seen people revere the Uchiha Clan, yet, (most) people only know Hashirama. The rest of the Senju clan seemed to be overshadowed by him alone. I don't see how one man can carry the name of an entire clan, when the whole world considers the Uchiha clan in awe.

It has always boggled my mind ...

While powerful, they are in a world populated by powerful warriors. They can be fought and defeated, despite their ridiculous hype.
