The secret of the 7th pain!!

Oka.. since there is no manga this week.. I was readin the previous chapters.. n I came across something that had always been bothering me.. the following page

The last line where konan says "He who controls the rinnegan is a master of all six pain techniques, they say he is outside life and death.. Nagato is the 7th pain able to control life and death"

Whenever I read it I always interpreted it as.. she is saying that Nagato is actually the 7th user who uses rinnegan and controls life and death.. meaning there had been 6 other users of rinnegan before him.. m I stupid or not.. I dont know but this is how I interpreted it until now..

I jus realized that it cud actually hav a whole another meaning.. so I am not sure if I am right or not.. but here cud b the 2nd`meaning of this sentence

If u read carefully I think wat she is trying to say is Nagato is pain # seven (7).. apart from the six realms of pain.. she is refering to Nagato as the seventh one

Each pain or body cud control a certain type of technique.. like one is summoning.. God realm is attack n repel.. one is absorbing and so on... one of them was the one who actually brought back physical bodies back to life.. meaning it repaired damaged bodies.. Nagato only used plain dead bodies with no soul in them.. remember once a body is destroyed he cudnt use the same technique with a different body.. so God realm body cudn't b used for absorbin energy or anything... this to me was interesting.. There was another pain who cud take out souls from ppl's bodies (like he did to shizune)...


coming bac to my point... so she meant the 7th pain (nagato himself).. can control life and death.. meaning these two pics below explainig that..

She probably meant Nagato is the seventh path alongside those six, and that he alone could control life and death, considering they all had an unique role within the group. One of the paths was able to resurrect and regenerate dead people, but Nagato actually reverted time and gave everyone whom he killed their soul and thus also life back.

One who possesses Rinnegan is called as sage of six paths...

The Six Paths of Pain was a jutsu used by Nagato, and served as his representation in Akatsuki. It allowed Nagato to control six separate bodies as though they were his own. Each of these bodies were reanimated corpses which were both kept mobile by, and made use of, Nagato's chakra. While controlling them, Nagato used the alias "Pain", yet still regarded them as separate from himself.
Six paths are:-
Deva Path:-

The Deva path (天道, Tendō), the first body to be shown of Pain's, was the body of Yahiko in the Six Paths of Pain. It was the most often seen and used of the Six Paths, and acted as Nagato's representative during Akatsuki meetings. Its main abilities revolved around manipulating gravity, allowing it to repel or attract objects. The Deva path was permanently incapacitated after its chakra receivers were removed from its body following its defeat by Naruto Uzumaki. Konan took this body, along with Nagato's body, after he died, and returned them to Amegakure.

Animal path:-

The Animal path (畜生道, Chikushōdō) was the second of Nagato's Six Paths of Pain to be shown. It is the only path shown to have existed as two different bodies. The first Animal path was captured by Jiraiya and sent to Konoha for study. It was replaced with a female body and destroyed by the Preta path during the invasion of Pain. The second Animal path was later incapacitated by Naruto's Sage Technique: Rasenrengan.

Preta path:-

The Preta path (餓鬼道, Gakidō) was the third of Nagato's Six Paths of Pain to be shown. It was incapacitated during the invasion of Pain after it absorbed too much of Naruto Uzumaki's senjutsu chakra and turned into a toad statue.

The Human path (人間道, Ningendō) was the fourth of Nagato's Six Paths of Pain to be shown. It was destroyed during the invasion of Pain after it was struck by Naruto Uzumaki's Wind Release: Rasenshuriken.

It would give away his secret, like Pain said if Jiraiya had known my secret he would have beaten me. He becomes more vulnerable when people know about the paths. If he is known for the seven paths and there are only six people fighting it's pretty clear there is another one somewhere else.

Yeah pretty much. During the Hanzo fight Nagato used a Shinra Tensei to deflect some kunai's from ROOT members. I can see why Kishi decided to give Nagato a handicap and burn his legs during that fight because a fully mobile Nagato just makes him more haxed. Imagine him using Naraka path ability to repair the bodies and just go once again and send them back to battle. Without knowing about Nagato your not going to beat him.

What about the other bodies ( i think there was 1 or 2) that Jiraya killed and sent back to Konoha. The ones Shizune was doing the autopsy on.
