The scary true villain

So, from what I read, Momoshiki and Kinshiki are followers of Kaguya, meaning, they are not the threat Sasuke was talking about in Gaiden. This obviously means Kishi isn't done with the story yet, or else he wouldn't have put that dialogue in Gaiden when it wasn't necessary for that series plotline at all.

What could this threat be and how will Kishi cover it? Another movie? A miniseries like Gaiden? Or a proper Part 3?

Personally, since this threat predates Chakra, and humans' fighting strength always was Chakra since Kaguya, I have the feeling this threat could be something non-humanoid, like an ancient beast/monster...

Somehow I don't think the threat is an Otsutsuki...

Sasori is the best character in the manga. Why? Because in the end, Kishi become just like Sasori. A puppet trying to make the manga look great to the average reader and creating the illusion that he cared, when in reality all he wanted to do was satisfy his insatiable appetite for money. :Sparks:

I read it. If this really is canon, I'm a bit dissappointed. So, the scary threat were just some (weaker) Otsutsuki, like Momoshiki? And now Sasuke leaves again to find more of these?

The way Sasuke talked I expected something really terrifying, completely never before seen - and not some weaker Otsutsuki.

Again, IF this is canon...

It can't be because some things in the novel contradicts the movie. Apparently some spoilers from the movie said this.

Momoshiki then explains that both he and Kinshiki are retainers of the Ootsutsuki clan and they are sent to help fulfill Kaguya’s wish.

Why would chakra bandit thieves want to continue kaguya's plan? Also they seem to worship kaguya because kinshiki saids "in the name of kaguya" .something when he's going to be sacrificed.

I agree with you. But If you thing about it it's a bit "normal"... I am Kaguya was the satrt of chakra... How can a being stronger than her or not without her power could be stronger?

Well the novel is a serilzation of the Movie script, the movie was written by Kishimoto and the Gaara novel guy, the novel is written through the script of the movie with bonus scenes you could say. It's not written by Kishimoto, but the Gaara novel guy alone.

We don't know if it's confirmed in the movie, but the novel says there are more Otsutsuki outside of Momoshiki and Kinshiki
