Naruto was the indirect help tbh. By being the host of Itachi's Crow that bears KA, Naruto's presence allowed Itachi to free himself from Kabuto's Edo control using KA. Even Itachi was surprised that he saw Naruto, if I correctly remember.

Funny shit I am reading here, considering if it wasn't for Sasuke's aid, Itachi never would've stopped the Edo Tensai and Naruto would still have been getting his ass kicked left and right, depleting his chakra, waiting for it to load like a slow youtube video, and rinse and repeat. A lot of Naruto fans seem terribly hurt, and ridiculous as usual, as Naruto didn't do anything alone, he was aided by Kakashi, Gai, and Bee on the battle-field constantly.
