He used his hair, the swamp and the summoning. Orochimaru had his long neck and the Kusanagi, Without Kabuto he couldn't even do a summoning jutsu, yet he was confident to say he can beat Jiraiya.

I don't care about his confidence.

Base Jiraiya is above Orochimaru bar Hydra Mode.

Sage Mode beats him.

Oro (w/ ET) > Jiraiya > Tsunade.
Jiraiya > Oro (w/o ET) > Tsunade.
If Kishi intended to make the Frog > Slug > Snake > Frog stuff, he failed. I think they're all around the same level (not considering ET) but its clear who's the strongest and who's the weakest.

Honestly, somebody tell me what does Jiraiya has to kill Tsunade. If Jiraiya catches Tsunade with Frog Genjutsu, Tsunade has two ways to wake up, first being disrupting her chakra with her perfect control. Her second way, would be Katsuyu disrupting the chakra. It has already been shown that two different individuals trapped in genjutsu can help each other escape it (seen on the fight of Sasuke and Itachi vs SM Kabuto)

it took many attacks from madara and stabs to make Tsunade run out of Byakugou, Jiraiya won't last enough agaisn't Byakugou Tsunade.

btw: frog summons won't make a difference, a small object as Tsunade punching a big object as those frog summons shall be easy.

and better the frog sages, not use their tongues, because what happened to oro might happen to them.

If I'm wrong, proof me wrong.
Tsunade is not the one that should be messed around with.

Between the Sannins the only one clearly on a different level is Orochimaru and only thanks to edo, but without it, I'm sure Tsunade and Jiraiya might mop the floor with him.

And yet Kishimoto contradicted that by giving Jiraiya higher Databook stats, not to mention Oro did not know Jiraiya has Sage Mode and that was Part 1, which is long outdated.

Honestly, orochimaru is probably the strongest IN BATTLE. He is very knowledgeable about the others weaknesses. He is also well versed in jutsu, while jiraiya is dependant on the toads on his shoulders for SM. Without it, he stands little chance against orochimaru.tsunade is more of a brute in a fight. She relies very much on her monstrous strength, making her a short range fighter. As long as orochimaru can keep a distance, the fight is over before it begins.

Oro is out of question, he's the best, but only because of edo tensei.

I'd say Orochimaru and Tsunade are equally intelligent. Tsunade is a medical genius, who created and mastered two 'S' rank medical ninjutsu. You shouldn't underestimate her intelligence.
