The Sannin vs Itachi, Kisame, Deidara, Sasori

Who do you think would win between the legendary sannin and these 4 akatsuki members?

i personally think the sannin. ONLY because of hermit mode.

Itachi will have Susanoo which is vry bad for Sannin.
Itachi will have amaterasu, which is also very bad for Sannin.
Deidara I dunno lol, he's not that strong.
KIsame - we dont know anything about his tru powers.

if jiraiya goes hermit mode, his speed rapes itachi's speed. even pain can't follow jiraiya's speed, he needed 3 sets of eyes to counter him and those 3 bodies STILL lost.

plus did u forget the conversation itachi and kisame had about jiraiya??

Itachi: yes, but....all strong opponents have a weakness.

and that weakness itachi spoke of was jiraiya's pervyness. which jiraiya wasn't fooled by it. itachi didn't want to fight jiraiya because he knew he'd lose. (especially NOT knowing about hermit mode). so he thought of what jiraiya's biggest weakness could be without getting into actual combat. and it FAILED.

i think the sannins will defeat those 4 akatsuki members even though itachi have MS.. As mention above, itachi + kisame still not match with jiraiya... then sasori and deidara not that strong enough to defeat tsunade and orochimaru.. overall, sannins will win..

I extenuate your post because seemingly you are a Jiraya fan. However, turning a blind eye to the story progress is grotesque. If you have been reading the manga till now, you would have known that Itachi was exhibited to be a good guy after all. So fighting Jiraya would have been not only against his mission but his ideology and ethics too. Furthermore, Itachi did not want to put himself in pointless fighting. The reason being, he wanted to be alive untill he faced Sasuke.

The fight would have gone defenitely in Akatsuki's favour. I cannot see how anyone of them could have defeated Sasori, let alone Itachi.

One thing that we haven't mentioned or discussed is how terrain types could affect the outcome of the fight. It seems like the best case scenario for them, overall, is outdoors in a field. Hell, they could fight in the Valley of End. There are close, medium, and long range fighters here. I think the best way is to have an open area for the long range fighting of Deidara. It's also beneficial to summoning. At the same time it hurts someone like Tsunade who is a close range fighter. Thus, the environment is a dynamic that we haven't really addressed. It's possible to dismiss it by stating that such elite fighters should be able to fight anywhere, but that doesn't dismiss that they still have optimal terrain.

Hopefully this adds a new wrinkle in the discussion.

debatable we have never seen itachi's true speed, but i say
jiriya is slower than itachi's genjutsu which techniqually traves at the speed of the light reflecting of his eyes.

jiriya was losing to the 3 bodies at first if you remeber correctly, he had to run away at first. so this doesnt mean much

jiraiya can break high-level genjutsu remember.

he wasn't losing, he just couldn't hit pain, but neither could pain hit jiraiya.....it was a stalemate. so jiraiya retreated, came back, and pwnd pain.

Ok. Tell me what would you have told Kisame if you were Itachi. Even Kisame wondered " Why would a retreat be neccessary for you?"

Also, Sasori is stronger than Jiraya,imo. This of course, unless Jiraya knows how to defeat the puppets. But, i doubt so.

Itachi said this about JIraya on a purpose. HE was loyal to KOnoha, cant u get that? He didnt want to fight and he didnt want to destroy the viage. PLus, he wsnt ordered to capture Naruto that time. After he got to KOnoha he toyed with KUrenai and Kakashi. He could've killed them both, do you remember? He didnt. Because he was loyal to them.
He, as we could see later, actually loved KOnoha lol.

So, actually, he didnt have a reason to Defeat JIraya.

JUst accept it dude, what speed will Defeat Susano'o if even KIRIN cant. I'm not saying J-man wasnt able to defeat Itachi, we just cant know that.
