Don't do that, It says Tsunade can too. Kishi's literally wrote her out of fighting Pain because he said that she hits to hard and the main villain would've died. And not by Naruto's hands

Jiraiya was already canonly beat by Pain, and Orochimaru was absolutely stomped by Pain, although I don't know if it was canon. Maybe Zetsu Oro has a better chance, but I don't know for sure. Together they might stand a chance, but individually they're pretty beat.

We don't know that the corrosive effects of the acid will react to the black orb, like it generally doesn't react with wax.
Against Nagato, Bee used TBB, Naruto a Rasenshuriken, and Itachi used Yasaka Magatama. Those are all really heavy duty attacks.

Honestly, as Katsuyu kept people relatively safe during CST, that should simply be the strategy. A 5% Katsuyu summon provides enough cushion that the sannin should be safe and perfectly capable of enduring the attack. It uses a lot of chakra.
