I think A. If he meets Naruto, He will probably speak to him with a lot of sadness and regret in his voice.
Maybe, if there is a flashback we will see what his personality is really like.

Hashirama did not display any seriousness throughout the manga only in his appearance. I don't think the Sage will be too much like him at all like everyone seems to think. Kishi has portrayed him as some type of god, it hasn't been the same case with Hashirama- he looked serious for no reason and turned out to be the opposite. Maybe we only think Rikudo was god-like because of the influence of chakra idk. I think he will be like a combination of Minato & Madara- Minato in that he has a serious side when he needs to and gives praise where it is due and like Madara in his vast amount of knowledge and ability to act according to his beliefs but not such so in his policy, also very serious and sometimes intense.

In other words combination of personalities his sons: Younger son(funny and goofy from time to time) and Elder Son(serious and hard acting).

Very hard to say. I was under the impression that hashirama was a very very serious character. But after his resurrection that changed but if I had to guess id go with option number 3

Well hashirama did show that he can be very very serious. When relaxed though he is goofy.

I think the sage will be a wise old man(like gandalf). I dont think he will be quite as goofy as hashirama, nor as serious as tobirama.

I think he will be more easy going.

I have this picture in my mind, as well as a voice that I imagine him with. But I cant really describe it well.
