So, as of 638 the Sage of Six Paths became even more badass than before. Why? Because we now know that when he created the moon, he was no longer a Jinchuuriki. When Obito sealed the Ten-Tails, he absorbed not only it's chakra, but even it's physical body. So for the Sage to entomb the Ten-Tail's husk within the moon, he had to have released it from the seal and forcibly separated it's chakra into the Tailed Beasts already.

So, even as a dying old man, he still had enough raw power to do something like that. That's a bit scary.

I don't think it's at all surprising. You kinda learn things when you have the power. Banbutsu Sozo (Creation of All Things) allowed for the splitting of the Juubi to take root, and it took the collective Sage and Juubi's power to do so.

Or you could read? He couldn't have. We now know that the seal contains both the physical body of the Ten Tails and it's chakra. This means that to entomb the Gedo Mazo, he had to have released whatever fuinjutsu he used to trap the beast within him. Unless you want to believe that he managed to separate it's power and it's body within himself and then somehow spat the husk out without releasing it entirely.

well if nagato could create an X sized boulder in the sky just by having the rinnegan and utilizing the six path's technique, without beinh a jichuriki or anything. i don't think it's far fetched that the Sage created the moon just by his own chakra.

however after he sealed the jubbi and splitted it he was pretty exuhsted and probably died quickly. it makes more sense (to me at least) that he created the moon using the jubbi's chakra. but again your argument is valid *_*.

So you are saying that he couldnt possibly have created the moon beforehand and then later used space-time ninjutsu to teleport the gedou mazou up there?

Juubi Jin Sage of six paths was truelly God, maybe even Juubiless SOSP was God

everyone has a weakness and everyone has a limit, even gods. if the sage was so strong and so smart i don't think the world would be in such complicated problems now.

Nine Tailed Beasts = Yin
Gedou Mazou = Yang

Effectively as you said, when the Sage used this power, he was no longer a Jinchuuriki... But he holded the Rinnegan after leaving this state. That's the reason he was able to use this jutsu.
