The sage of Six Paths chose his younger son, the first Senju over, his elder son the first Uchia. Does that mean the younger was superior to his older brother?

No, the older son was evil, and all he wanted was power, younger son was not better to take over and continue what his father was doing

Possibly. But I'm pretty sure he primarily chose him because of his views on Love and how that was truly needed to achieve peace.

Like already the others said. I don't think it is to do with power. It would be more on the view of love and peace. o3o

It's a representation of Yin and Yang. They're 'equal'.

I wouldn't say evil, just that he had a different view on how to achieve peace

One got powerful eyes and the other got an equally powerful body, lifeforce, and energy.....personally I would favor the latter.

The younger son had better ideals...

However, I do believe their power rivaled each other (although not necessarily equal, like Hashirama and Madara).
