Where did they say that he sealed his own body as well? He sealed the Juubi's body in the mass that became the moon but not his own.

Anyway, with the amount of chakra he possessed through being a Juubi Jinchuuriki it is hardly surprising or shocking with what he did.

SO6P probably split the Juubi up outside of his body, not inside. And he was never sealed with the Juubi in the moon. It was only the Juubi which was. To be honest, we don't really know for sure who cast its body in the moon. Nagato said "the moon which the SO6P was said to have made", but it isn't confirmed.
