When Asuma died, not really Asuma dying but the way Shikamaru took it was sad.

And when Jiraiya got his arm ripped off. That was pretty sad because you knew he was gonna die at that point. Remember, that was back when Kishi would actually kill characters off and wasn't undoing everything he did in the stories. So you knew it really happened and that was it. Jiraiya was a cool dude he didnt deserve that lol

Sasori's arc was pretty sad too, they way he grew up and that was pretty touching. Totally made you wish he didnt have to be killed.

Jiraiya's death. That was one sad part. The fact that Jiraiya knew he was gonna die and still chose to stay there so that he can figure them out eases the pain though. Without Jiraiya, Konoha would've been destroyed.
