To begin addressing this subject. We first have to know what violence is.

Here is the freedictionary definition.
vi•o•lence (ˈvaɪ ə ləns)

n.
1. swift and intense force.
2. rough or injurious physical force, action, or treatment.
3. an unjust or unwarranted exertion of force or power.
4. a violent act or proceeding.
5. rough or immoderate vehemence, as of feeling or language.
6. damage, as through distortion of meaning or fact: to do violence to a translation.

Humans willingly become violent, it isn't in their inherent nature or anything of the sort. Humans are the ones that choose to do harm just as they can choose to do good.

I see the whole "we are programmed that way" argument as an excuse, people don't like taking responsibility for their actions so they try to find excuses. If someone gets mad and decides to blow up other people it was their choice, nobody forced them to do it.

The root is how we humans choose to think. It is purely psychological

Violence started in school for me.
I was very kind and 2 guys harassed me for 8-9 months in the 9th class..
I entered anxiety and i suffered from depression later in my life (there are lots of causes of depression)Too many anger issues becuase i felt threatened and i tried to stab one of them.
I decided to fight them and even today when someone threatens me...even if i want to forgive i can't.
I may rage at one person for 7 months if he threatens me very hard.Even if i want to forgive i can't becuase I'm a nut :sdo:
Provocation is worse than killing becuase someone is sick if he provocates others (if they are innocents).
However he is making other kind people evil which is worse than killing them becuase many people turn into sociopaths becuase they see the world threatening.
In fact this is how black gansters live in group.
Becuase they were threatened by whites all the time (racism)...
Sometimes it's hard to deal with rebells,we all have to find our way/answers in this wicked world,violence comes from feeling threatened or if someone threatens something important to you,or if something is taken from you.
Or else someone is a unrightous psycho.
That's why getting rid of violence is not easy becuasw they become mentally ill...
Normal people can stop it.Ill people can only surpress somehow themselves.
Becuase they imagine that someone may threaten them anytimes and they rage harder than normal people becuase if you naturally feel threatened your normal reaponse will be anger.
And when sick people rage they don't realize it even if they wish to control themselves becuase they can't realize it for hours and then some people come to the point they kill themselves or get hospitalized or turn into sociopaths/savages (they turn super crazy and kill people).
I personally am getting better however I'm not very happy.

Of course violence is natural to any lifeform on this planet and probably even in the entire universe. The sad thing is, that our species is one of the few that are capable to act in a more efficient way. A way that is not just based on natural instinct. We challenge diseases and reach for the stars, yet we are not able to overcome certain basic instincts that block us from improving even further. Which is the reason why I truly believe that humans will go extinct pretty quickly. For sure we won't exist anywhere near as long as the dinosaurs.
