Obviously, we're gaga over The Rock. The pro wrestler turned legit actor is a big ball of charisma and self-proclaimed "franchise Viagra" who has made every movie he's touched exponentially better. But how do you nail down exactly how popular Johnson is among moviegoers? Look at his insanely impressive box office record for 2013 thus far.

EW has drawn attention to a tantalizing trend in box office returns for this year. Namely, at least one The Rock movie has been in the top-grossing ten every weekend for the past 16 weeks. It began when his everyman drama Snitch opened on February 22nd. And his presence on the chart has stayed thanks strong showing from to G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Pain &Gain, and most recently Fast & Furious 6 . Check out the complete ranking below:

Feb. 22-24 – Snitch (No. 2)
Mar. 1-3 – Snitch (No. 4)
Mar. 8-10 – Snitch (No. 5)
Mar. 15-17 – Snitch (No. 6)
Mar. 22-24 – Snitch (No. 10)
Mar. 29-31 – G.I. Joe: Retaliation (No. 1)
Apr. 5-7 – G.I. Joe: Retaliation (No. 2)
Apr. 12-14 – G.I. Joe: Retaliation (No. 4)
Apr. 19-21 – G.I. Joe: Retaliation (No. 5)
Apr. 26-28 – Pain & Gain (No. 1), G.I. Joe: Retaliation (No. 6)
May 3-5 – Pain & Gain (No. 2)
May 10-12 – Pain & Gain (No. 3)
May 17-19 – Pain & Gain (No. 4)
May 24-26 – Fast & Furious 6 (No. 1)
June 1-3 – Fast & Furious 6 (No. 1)
June 7-9 - Fast & Furious 6 (No. 2)

Besides having some of the most talked about action movies of the year on his resume, The Rock can also boast that three of his most recent ventures hit #1 at the box office. To date, his 2013 releases have made more than $956 million! But movies aren't the only medium The Rock is dominating this summer. He's brought his larger than life charm back to the small screen as host/mentor of TNT's tough as nails reality competition The Hero. Could 2013 be Johnson's defining moment like 2012 was for G.I. Joe: Retaliation co-star Channing Tatum? It's looking likely. And this is all seems to be part of the multi-talented performer's plan that he unfolded to EW:

To be fair, G.I. Joe and Fast 6 would have been a financial success regardless of him being in them.
