I just got finished watching the the latest Naruto episode and it made me think of the Cycle that Kishimoto has painted.
Each person in this list pursued peace in their own way. Those on the left chose to follow the course of the Elder Son to pursue peace by force.
POSSIBLE EXCEPTION: A lot of people may say that Orochimaru did not pursue piece. Well as stated in part 1 Orochimaru is not ambitious, however Orochimaru's goal in destroying Konohagakure was to cause the windwill to spin once again. In other words he wanted change. For that purpose he attacked the Leaf village not specifically to destroy it, but to remove Hiruzen whose constant goal maintain the status quo, and replace him with Danzo who had the goal to pursue peace by militant efforts. Therefore Orochimaru put his faith in Danzo's ideals

On the right are those who tried to pursue peace through nonviolent methods.
POSSIBLE EXCEPTION: Kakashi much like Orochimaru didn't choose to pursue peace on his own, but rather chose to put faith in Naruto.

So what do you think any arguements?

I personally don't think that Oro wanted to achieve peace or attacked Konoha just to remove Hiruzen from power and place Danzo in his place. I disagree with Yahiko and Nagato too, as Yahiko doesn't have developed personality here, too say that he was 'Yang' part.:yeah:

It was Yahiko's idea to pursue peace through learning of the pain of others to reach mutual understanding and bring about peace. As far as Orochimaru goes, if not to remove Hiruzen Orochimaru would have no motive in attacking or destroying the Leaf. The dude is simply not ambitious. According to plan Danzo was supposed to rise up as the next leader. All this was plotted between the two which is evident because Danzo knew of the attack.

Its not power, just the roles that they have played

I think the concept of light and shadow do apply to these characters so yes I agree.

i dont think that concept was working for hiruzen/danzo and nagato/yahiko.... maybe for narusasu

Don't know. I haven't seen to much from Yahiko other than his beliefs. But given it a second thought, maybe he is the red to Nagato's blue.

Hiruzen and Danzo are spot on for the elder/ younger son parallel

And though Nagato and yahiko at the beginning ran together and were balanced without him Nagato gave in to the dark side:snick: and strived to achieve peace by force.

I don't think that applies to Nagato and Yahiko.

It applies,they once shared the same ideals till Nagato got corrupted and twisted Yahiko's ideals to create Pain.
So it goes like that
Pain/Yahiko etc
