[Discussion] The reasons as to why you should love one piece.

First - the main character ofc , he is hilarious as hell , second , bc of the personality of the characters (but that's almost the reason of almost every single anime , i guess hmm) , the powers , the goals.

the way oda handles the fodder , at least they do something , instead of only dying , Lol...

the importance that oda gives to a character that just got introduced to the story is amazing. the flashbacks of the characters , the vast world that is one piece , the evil , the bad ...

those are only tiny things that one piece delivers to you , one piece can be slow paced , but if you have the patience to wait for something big , then you can be as well a fan of one piece , hey look at this in this side: at least you no longer have to wait another 1 week for the next episode , Lol , a lot of ppl complain about that ... but in one piece , that "disadvantage" is almost null to this anime , and finally the animation , i personally , doesnt give 2 shits about the animation... and you should too lol , after all , the story is the thing that triggers all the series , right?

now , for you one piece lovers , let the new-comers know as to why one piece is great and should be loved ...

The plot is incredibly intricate. For example; Oda might name drop something and then that suddenly becomes significant 400 chapters later, only to somehow link into a new or main character, stuff like this is what makes One Piece a work of genius. It's all well structured, no asspulls (except Luffy's gears), the plot doesn't repeat itself at any points either.

The extreme variation of the One Piece universe makes it fun to read and incredibly badass and interesting.

Where else do you find Samurais, Pirates, Robots, Dinosaurs, Giants, Dwarves, Merfolk/Fishmen, Minkmen, Cyborgs, Zombies and Angels?

I watched it when it was on toonami and I tried getting back into, but it didn't work out.

For one, its to damn long, it would take me way to much time in order for me to catch up and I have a lot of other series that I want to keep up with. Secondly I just don't find the story very interesting, probably due to the fact of the pirate theme. Lastly, I can't stand the art, it just looks to wacky and goofy for my tastes.

Look one piece just isn't my cup of tea.

I was referring to both the manga and anime. Animation doesn't bother me too much if it doesn't do too badly and the art and other things compensate, but it doesn't in my eyes.

you can do some research about his devil fruit , what it is and what it can do , but atm idk what you have to look for on google to figure out that.
