the reason why the Kabuto vs Itachi fight was the most epic battle in the series

when Madara fought the 5 kages it was obvious that Madara was gonna win because side characters cannot win against a main antagonist especially in a shounen manga

the Naruto vs Pain was also predictable since the title character cannot lose against a villain in the final battle of an arc which was also an all out fight

when Sasuke fought Itachi the same thing happened
the second most plot-protected character fought a less plotty character and he won ofc (even though Itachi was leagues above him)

however when Itachi fought Kabuto Kabuto had a small chance to win (and later get defeated by Sasuke) which made the fight more epic and interesting than the other ones
even though in the end Kishi made it obvious that Kabuto was the underdog, during the battle there were a few moments when the outcome wasn't that obvious...

I agree. Its not often we see a fight that goes back and forth like that. usually its just overpowering villain and either a regular attack to end it of a collective effor

because brothers fought kabuto as one. but i get annoyed when kabuto fans trash about sage mode kabuto is better than itachi and sasuke. Let me tell you guys something. if the brothers wanted to kill kabuto they could do it on their whim. so :stfu:

even in an all out battle Kabuto can take it to high diff against Itachi and mid diff against Sasuke
ofc 2on1 with killing intent they win low-mid diff but they can easily beat most people in NV so it's not something to be ashamed of
