the reason why some people underrate Kisame's obvious durability feat

is that both Kisame and Gai are unpopular

if Kisame had tanked something from a popular character, then people would have been like " omfg Kisame tanked this attack... it's really hard to kill Kisame O_O"
but since he tanked an attack from a side character who isn't popular the general reaction was "hm it didn't kill the blue fodder... what a weak jutsu"
most people will underrate both Kisame and Gai until the end of time...

I have to agree. There are more then just those two who are ignored simply because they don't battle main characters who more popular villains. Most people over look Kisame's strength feat's as well... It's sad

Kisame also tanked a Lariat from Killer Bee in his V2 chakra form.Kisame is one of the better tanks in the series since his durabilty does'nt come from a mode(Naruto,any Sage Mode user) or a jutsu(Tsunade,Ay).

He's not that durable, all that came from Samehada, notice he took a V.2 lariat from bee and shrugged it off, and as soon as he lost his sword, Gai punches him in the gut and it darn near killed him.
