Hello guys I would like to explain why Madara countering Hashirama could be bad move and possible even loss.
I know it sounds as pure excuse, but it may a bit of truth after all. Let me elaborate now
^^ In the previous chapter we saw explosion in area where Madara fought against Hashirama.
^^ Here is Naruto shown holding gigantic Wind release Rasen shuriken
^^ Naruto throws Wind release Rasen shuriken towards Madara... also Hashirama is shown pierced by black rods.
"This wood dragons absorbs you chakra"
^^ Madara is not even shown worried or panicking... but just looking. why ? Because he can regenerate his body and it only released him from wood dragon.
^^ However Hashirama uses time which Madara need to regenerate to restrict him with torri gates, so he most likely used Sennin mode to hold him... but it used all of his chakra in current state.
^^ Now it is funny because torri gates were not capable of absorbing chakra as far as I remember from the manga... so he could counter it or at least try something. Instead he sit there smilling
^^ Here Madara decides to switch with Obito.
^^ Here Madara states that it is time for his counterattack, also he thanks to Naruto for weakening Obito.
In short:
- Madara was focused on Attacking Obito... maybe even controlling Black Zetsu when wood dragon binded him
- Naruto released Madara and give him chance to use chakra again as wood dragon was destroyed by FRS.
- Madara was not worried or nervous so he has evertyhing under control.
- Hashirama used SM to block Madara's movements while removing almost all black rods which just one staying in his body
- Madara didn't want to pull attention to him.
He worked as truly shinobi in hideout...
Also to everyone who think otherwise... if Madara attacked Hashirama then at the most he could stalemate or barerly overpowers Hashirama, but then fighting against all hokages, Naruto , Sasuke etc. would be too much. Besides He needed to stay in place for better control over Obito and focus all of his powers on him..., so he played well with his cards.
If Madara attacked Hashirama then FRS could blow him down and rest of shinobi could seal him up, Either way he was forced to not act.
