The reason why kakashi killed rin.

Unlikely, Kakashi would never kill a comrade and even more so since Obito made him promise to take care of her. What could've happened though is that Kakashi may have been in some sort of control ninjutsu (like Ino's mind transfer).

Kakashi will do anything for konoha...But I think killing rin where his last and only choice.If he had other choice he will save rin.

Other reasons I thought about are:
A) Kakashi swore to Obito that he would protect Rin,and because they were in danger,he decided to save her by killing her.

(Version B is never gonna happen btw)

B) He killed Rin,so he could obtain the MS,even though that is gonna happen by a long shot.

C) Obito was probably put over a genjutsu.

i dont think she got that some kind of information, it might be that kakashi thought they would die so he killed rin rather she got killed and suffer(why for the fact that when he stab rin with raikiri he pass out, meaning he doesnt have chakra for fighting those mist ninja to protect rin, so maybe he knows that he will get kille and rin -of course- would get gang banged before they kill her so he killed it before that happen).. if so it's not kakashi's fault it's minato. for being not there again..

Minato isn't a babysitter. The first time he wasn't there is because he had to help stop a WAR and protect OTHER people. Those 3 had a simple job - destroy a bridge. I have been re-reading those chapters. Why Rin died still doesn't make much sense to me. I'm hoping Kishi will explain it later.

If they want to dispose and completely erase her body Kakashi do them a favor.But they were upset when Kakashi killed her and they said "no, we went into so much trouble" meaning they needed her alive and they were disappointed.
Plus Kakashi was an ANBU for many years it's only logical that he gained info for the tactics of other countries hunter nin by his time in there.
ANBU had many missions on other countries,plus they had bingo books,plus they were a special unit for assassination and info getting.
So no that theory is not plausible.

If you remember correctly the mission that obito died on the leader of the team was kakashi and it was two missions Minato had is own mission he was leading the attack and kakashi and his team had there own....so if blame is to dish out it would be to kakashi and obibto for not working together as a team....and remember this was a war going on team structure are not what it is now they had to work with what they had..........

I think Kakashi killed rin because it was his last resort. Judging by the number of hunter ninja kakashi and rin wouldve both been killed. I think he killed her with the intent to kill himself next so they couldnt be captured but the MS made him passout and he just got lucky that Obito was there to kill everyone.

well considering the manga hasnt gone back to the death of rin maybe obito will bring it back up OR the story unfolds later on.
