Blackbeard declared that the throne war against the strong one has already started and Moria should take sides with him.

But why Blackbeard wants Moria to join his crew? Doflamingo clearly stated that Moria is “too weak to be a Shichibukai”.

We all know that Blackbeard is a Specialist when it comes to Devil Fruits. He has done researchs on Devil Fruits for many years and I believe they are choosing Devil Fruits very strategically now. When Blackbeard met with Ace and invited him to join his crew, he said that he has already planned everything like he has already planned how he is going to be the Pirate King.

That certainly involves how he is going find the Raftel. I believe Blackbeard currently doesn’t possess a Poneglyph or doesn’t know a way to decipher a Poneglyph.
Moria’s Devil Fruit can be very useful for this purpose since he can revive dead people through shadows. The personality of that person could be changed but their skills remain the same. Just like Ryuma, his skills remained the same as before and even though his memories were faint and fading he still remembered his days in Wano and how he slayed a Dragon.

I believe Blackbeard is planning to revive someone from the past who knows how to decipher a Poneglyph or where Raftel is. But in order to revive someone, they need the dead body.

I believe that’s the reason why Shiliew have taken the Suke Suke no Mi from Absalom. He can become Invisible now.

Just think about Blackbeard Pirates carefully:

1-Lafitte can hypnotise anyone and he has proven his success by infiltrating Mary Geoise.

2-Catarina Devon can shape shift into in any person. She is basically a nine tail fox.

3-And now Shiliew can become invisible. They are perfect for any kind of infiltration and they are clearly planning for it.

They could also revive legends from the past like Gol D. Roger. We really don’t know what happened after Roger was executed. Was he buried somewhere or was his body taken and hidden somewhere with tied security by the World Government.

Well just thinking about it make me wonder how dangerous Moria’s devil fruit can become. Imagine all the strong dead people revived and being on blackbeard's side. Imagine Gol D. Roger, Xebec D. Rocks and Whitebeard revived and fighting for Blackbeard!! HOLY MOLY!!

I predict Teach will kidnap Robin, force her to decipher the ponyglyph and this will lead to Teach and Luffy having their final fight in Raftel!
I mean its very much possible but what will lead to Teach being on the same island of the strawhats is yet to be seen. He is a yonkou after all, their moves are watched carefully by the marines

I think you're overestimating BB's ability to plan and see a bit too much in what he said.

Yes BB has a plan, but that's more of a large, general framework and not some highly detailed step-by-step scheme. That he's winging a lot of it, is something he even admitted himself. When they invaded Impel Down, they nearly died because of Magellan. They only made it through because Shiryuu helped them (which is something he definitely did not anticipate) and when the latter pointed out the recklessness of their actions, their response was something along the line of 'if it's meant to be, it's meant to be'. You would think he would have at least anticipated on how to deal with Magellan considering he was bound to be one of the biggest obstacles...

Above all else BB is an opportunistic guy. His original plan was to capture Luffy, but then changed it when Ace himself picked a fight with them and it's same with Moria and Absalom. They were the ones who made contact with him and now that the opportunity has provided itself to obtain their powers, why not take it? But I find it highly doubtful he would have bothered with either of them if he didn't met them by chance. That BB asked Moria to join him means little as, similarly to Luffy, he has the habit of doing that haphazardly. This was also stated by the RA when they defeated Pinkybeard and he threatened them with BB's name. In response they replied that BB isn't the type to be bothered by such things (underlining how aloof he actually is concerning matters like these).

Additionally, Moria's powers don't allow him to resurrect the dead with all their memories and abilities intact. What he does is using the shadows of living persons and implanting them in (supposedly stronger) dead bodies so that they can move again. Essentially the bodies are nothing more than physical vessels, while everything else is derived from the shadow. Even though it's possible that in the body some things linger, in the end even Ryuuma's personality and the skills he used all came from Brook's shadow.

So that a zombie could read the poneglyph just because he could do it when it was still alive, is highly questionable. It would be more logical that it requires a shadow of someone who can read it, but then of course it becomes rather redundant of making the zombie in the first place. What's more there have been few people who could read it anyway and, excluding one, all of them died during the Ohara-incident and the point of that incident was to purge any trace of them.

It's unclear how much BB actually knows about the poneglyph, but if he needs a way to read them, you're just ending up with Robin again. There's simply no need for him to go through all of this hassle. Also if corpses like Roger's were still available, I think Moria would have already gotten them and I think I'm not the only who believes that these would be far weaker than the original. The real Ryuuma was definitely leagues above Zombie Ryuuma.

Honestly, I think you subconsciously were having Edo Tensei in the back of your mind.

A resurrected body is only as strong as the Shadow placed within it. Its a futile attempt to resurrect all these monster and lack the corresponding Shadow. The alternative is stockpiling countless fodder shadows within them. The amount it'd take to even reconstruct their power level will require global genocide.

That's true, getting strong Shadows are hard.
