Okay so today, no more bickering. Everybody got bested and shown up, Naruto, Sasuke AND Sakura. Are you going to sit there and argue who got humiliated worst? Or can we all just accept that maybe this happened for a reason. It's a middle act, an act 2 where things seem darkest. It happens in literally every story.

The reason they got defeated so badly by an enemy who doesn't even seem that powerful resonates with the title of this weeks chapter 'Evolutionless' but more importantly the dialogue he was saying this chapter.

Not only are they 'rusty' but it's more than that. He's claiming that to remain powerful, to remain happy- there must also be conflict. Without conflict, they become weak and susceptible to any grander threat (the bigger than KAGUYA threat) and we get more expectant of peace and happiness.

Boruto and Chocho are both a complete example of this! People consider them just bratty characters, but they're the product of an era in peace! To remain grateful of peace and stay strong enough to protect the ones we love we must have war.

Pain spouted a similar message, and so this villain is much more Akatsuki-centric and similar to Pain than Madara or Kaguya.

It's cause of plot...

I mean Sasuke could have just activated his Susanoo and GG...

And maybe you could stop to think there's a reason Kishi didn't use that and made them lose? Yknow...the guy who controls the plot?

Yup. That's literally what this thread is about, but maybe there's a reason Kishi is progressing the plot in this way? There's a reason behind them losing and it's literally in the title and dialogue. Boruto is exactly what Shin is talking about.

Sakura wasn't shown up.

She one-shot the big bad and allowed herself to be S/T'd so she could

(1) See where they were heading

(2) Heal the child

This isn't a d*ck measuring thread, I don't care. The writer has something cool going on with everybody and had a defeat chapter because through Shin, Kishi has a new main villain motive.

Sakura proves this wrong, though.

She's as talented as before, perhaps even more so.

Yeah I don't agree with your statement about war war isnt necessary to be grateful of peace. The fact that peace is enjoyavle is more than enough to be grateful for it. Also you Shouldn't need to protect the ones you love from danger thats just a burden of being in a no peacful world. It's not sown thing people generally like knowing they have to do. Thats another reason why you can be grateful to peace, that such a burden is nonexistent as opposed to war where you have to worry about that. For example how great would it be to know you could leave your door unlocked becuase you know you live in a peacfull world and nobody would try and steal your possessions? You don't have to protect your possessions becuase you live in a peacful world and that gives you a safe secure feeling, which is something everyone wants generallly speaking. In short I don't see any reason to be grateful to war for the things you stated. Though this is just a matter of opinions so I respect yours.

That's not my actual opnion, it's the one Kishi has used before and is returning to.

Although there's truth in there, Boruto and Chocho clearly are ungrateful for the world they live in- but it is extreme to insinuate every generation needs a war to remain happy. That's why I guess he and Pain were villains.

I thought the same, this dude doesn't look like the final villain, especially after what he said to Sakura on last page. Seems like he just intends to keep them strong by posing a threat ultimately.

hello

but real talk there is more to this thread than just comparing who got owned more

I can tell. I just hope after this shitty chapter a better chapter appears. Or else this gaiden is dead for me.

I think what's going on is actually quite interesting, sure- the 3 could've had that damage hits more realistic but they DID need to take some damage this chapter, otherwise there's no plot or message haha

Well true in a sense. I am just curious on how they will fight back. I see Boruto is appearing in one of these chapters.

So kishi is illustrating people being ungrateful for the fact that they don't have to worry about war? All I can do is shake my head seems his writing has not gotten any better.

What? No he's the villain. So his ideology isn't going to win- he's evil. But like many villains, they have a bit of truth to them.

Im extremly confused. Are you saying that is the idealology of the villain in gaiden? (I haven't read a single page of gaiden so I don't know what is going on).
