The reason Naruto has obsessed over Sasuke so much in his life

This picture right here describes it, this is why Naruto can't get Sasuke out of his mind, before this Naruto thought Sasuke was the biggest douche he ever met in his life. Taking some ninja weapons to the chest for a friend in NV is equivalent to taking a bullet for a friend in our world. Even though, Naruto would have survived because of his healing factor, it's the thought that counts for Naruto. I know Naruto doesn't mention this moment often, but I think without this moment happening, Naruto wouldn't care about Sasuke as much as he does today. This could be why Naruto got down to his knees in front of the Fourth Raikage, he might subconsciously feel that he owes Sasuke. Same thing happened with Iruka, after Iruka stepped in to take a giant shuriken for Naruto, Naruto started to feel that brotherly love for Iruka more. This isn't a thread saying Sasuke is a goody two-shoes angel savior, this is a thread saying that Naruto's bond with Sasuke is natural, if somebody took a bullet for you in the real, you'd fanboy over them too. That's why Naruto and Sasuke's bond being such a huge part of the manga doesn't bother me, it's only natural.

Yes. This moment made Naruto loyal forever but not because he believed he owed Sasuke. It confirmed Sasuke wanted to protect him. The feelings were never a one- way thing. Naruto is just willing to accept those feelings because he believes that friendship and feelings are good: they make a person stronger. Sasuke denies them because he believes feelings and friendship are bad: they make a person weak. Sasuke confirms his feelings during the fight at VOTE. He gets another tomoe in his sharingan why? Because he's cutting his ties with a friend.

Naruto is bit crazy, because Sasuke tried to kill him. No other person will consider Sasuke as friend or ally. Kish made Naruto this way.
