Well I'm sure Danzo wouldn't be well appreciated by the 5 Kages and their villages after the incident at the Kage Summit. If Kishimoto wanted, he could have made Danzo an out cast and command those loyal to him (I believe it's called Root?) to do his bidding, essentially making Sai a potential double-agent. With Tobi after his eye, it could also play into a whole Tobi vs. Danzo story. I don't think Kishimoto thought he made Danzo too "overpowered" to find a place for him in the manga though.

Danzo deserved what he got from Sasuke, that was his role as a character.

Why does Kishi do anything in the manga?
To keep everyone interested and keep making money.

There are no hidden motives in the writers mind to strengthen characters or introduce jutsu...........thats just how the story goes pal. the sooner you accept that...........the sooner you'll be making worthwhile threads.
