The problem is that he wanted to end it in 700.
It could be much better if they had a good and longer fight, defeating him and in the end where he lies on the ground black zetsu taking control over Madara's body and saying "i was waiting for this moment" (much more logical way than now..) Then Kaguya shows up, casting the infinite tsukuyomi etc etc.
+ revealing the past of hagoromo's family.
+Longer fight naruto - sasuke
+more chapters about the current state.
Also i think The last naruto the movie should be avoided and added to the manga.
It could be 750+ chapters plus
And if kishimoto wanted it that way - 7th hokage - 700 chapter
Its also possible 7th hokage - 777 chapter u know..
However the manga already ended and we cant do shit

The fight wouldn't have been that exciting. It would just be rinnegan techs on steroids vs naruto & sasuke. That's it.

You never know what could be in kishi's mind.
For example did u know Madara would ever use this tech; senpou - inton raiha?
Its not that impessive (even tho it looks cool) but its something different right?
Or another thing - using more stuff about being juubi's jinchuuriki.
Kishi had a lot of possibilities with making some1 juubi's host not like the rinnegan who have been almost already explored its max.

I don't think madara had any jutsu to show, we have seen everything he could do, any adding anymore jutsu to him would be @sspull, so I think kishi switched to kaguya to introduce a different fighting style.

Not really. For reasons unknown, Kishimoto never showed us his or Izuna's mangekyou technique, and Obito stated the Rinnegan's full power is only granted to the one who unlocks it.
