Goku is goku......luffy is luffy......and I find luffy to be more entertaining than Goku himself. U_U

Maybe it's just me, but Gon from Hunter x Hunter reminds of Goku more than Luffy does. Especially since they are around the same size and age in the beginning of their respective manga. And their personalities too. I think Gon is closer than Luffy to Goku.

Goku is more mature, and his motivation strives from being 'protector of the earth'.
Luffy is way less mature and more goofy, and his motivation strives from his determination to become PK, and rage from his nakama being abused in any way.

They're not really that similar :/ Maybe this will change in part 3.
