As you should know by now Orochimaru was 1st in line to be the 4th Hokage and was passed on based on his beliefs.. so with that being said is it safe to assume Orochimaru > Minato..

minato shows him the proper respect as his elder with the Orochimaru-san..and minato is so suprised that ORO' S doing all thisthen orichimaru stands there and laughs at minato and said you underestimate me..

what do you think????
a couple months back in january i wrote this thread saying is it safe to assume oro > 4th,

even when the 4th apologizes for dying oro says alot of prople thought it was a pity the 4th was chose over him.. knowing what we know now do you feel any differently

Not really it was kinda orochimarus fault for becoming a criminal. If he didnt become a criminal and his drive for such power than he wouldve become the 4th hokage

no minato was still the right choice orichimaru would have been an awful hokage, if he's better then him or not i have no idea he knows alot of jutsus so it's not impossable for him to have a counter for ftg

no in fact if that many people wanted the 4th to be orochimaru then it would have been oro as the village has to accept the person to begin with ... it isnt soley up to the elders or the previous hokage ... if orochimaru was the better one to be chosen then he would have been chosen ...

This isn't about power. It's about experience in the shinobi world.Even tho minato had a reputation that rivals even the legendary sannin, orochimaru is still a genius which we can't deny.Too bad he defected the village and couldn't become hokage.Oro should've been the legit hokage cuz he was older and more experienced. It was his fault,he couldn't become hokage.

Orochimaru would've been great if not for his twisted ideals, he was a genius and he is without a doubt a powerful shinobi. Minato would've had his chance later on considering how young he was. No one to blame but Orochimaru though, the 3rd obviously knew he wasn't the right choice, strayed too far off the right path.

Hmm, not gonna read any evidence you might have in that previous thread, however, your argument in this one is invalid.

You cannot base that oro > minato, because he was supposedly the first choice for hokage. Being Hokage doesn't mean, you have to be the strongest. It's more about, who "raised" you, what family tree you got, and what teachers you got. So basically Oro was the only choice from Hiruzen's students, since Jiraya was traveling with book, and Tsunade gambling. So Minato probably hadn't become hokage, if Tsunade had stayed in the village - just to give an example. But clearly Tsunade isn't stronger than either.

That said, I don't see how a fight between the 2 would end. Oro can't really be killed by Minato, unless Minato uses some sealing tech, and he has only displayed a few, although we are to believe he knows a lot more.

On the other hand Oro cannot land a hit on Minato, so it would become a really long and boring fight...

I was wondering why there's a carving of hiruzen in the mountain from when he's old.. he seemed pretty young when he became hokage.. did they wait 40 years?
