I know speed is gaara's weakness, but think of homefield advantage plus he has grown much stronger.

I'd say Gaara. Sand coffin the Rakiage's arms and legs to stop him from moving with that fast speed. You should change the area though not really fair for the Rakiage seeing how he's at an disadvantage.

Still the same rules applies.Speed is one of gaara's achilles heel,so obviously he wouldn't be able to follow raikage, who is much faster than lee.Gaara also had the tailed beast at that time,which means that his reaction time was much better.Overall, i think he is better without it but still..

well the raikage has been a kage for ages, and he is a war veteran(leader of the shinobi alliance),while gaara was chosen as kage because the town was afraid of him.
I did see how gaara stopped him, but the raikage was focused on breaking down sasuke's bones lol It will be another story when the attention comes his direction.And did you see the deidara fight?Deidara outsmarted gaara and his bombs were enough to damage his shield(he didn't even use c4).


i'm not taking anything away from gaara, but i think this battle would be much closer than people think.

You have to take in consideration that Gaara's sand is way faster now, it blocked A's kick and it also blocked amatarasu which comes in an instant!

One Gaara's "weakness" is someone with insane speed Like vs Lee if someone can move faster than his ultimate defense it puts him at a huge disadvantage, and A being the fastest man alive (except naruto) i think he is faster than gaara's sand, Yes Gaara blocked Amaterasu But A is alot faster than Amaterasu even he dodged it with no problem at all.

Also just because Gaara blocked A's kick doesn't mean he could stop all of A's attacks, If he used the same attack on Gaara that he did on naruto/minato, By the time Gaara notices him His fist will be implated where Gaara's face used to be

Since its in the sand ill vote Gaara but anywhere else A would win

lol you're attacking the wrong person.I already brought up the battle vs lee,and i said that raikage's speed coudl potentially be too much for gaara.He only needs to bypass gaara's ultimate defense and deliver a lariat.
