I love meat too much to become vegetarian. I understand all that stuff of the animals feel pain and all, but hey it's just how the world is, animal eat other animals, and i also hate most vegetables.

Eh, Earthlings traumatized me. Short and simple.

Not exactly a vegetarian, because that would mean no restaurants/social life for me. And I like meat too. But yea, my profile picture can also be taken into consideration.

I swear clams aren't sentient. There are many reasons why I should eat meat. The first and most important is that it is delicious. Second is that why should sentience be a deciding factor in whether I eat something or not? So what if the animal was aware before it died, it doesn't make it any less delicious.

Plants still has to breathe and nurture, its still producing, breeding like animals, not much different, how u justifies animals that can be eaten is not same with the vege u ate. They still same.

I have a question for vegetarians: How do you feel about animal research?
Animal Research is appropriate when necessary; in order to protect them or for medical reasons, though humane practices should be sought if possible - don't be cruel to a live animal in research.

I love meat. I don't care what you eat. Just don't ask me to tip toe around your diet because I don't care.
I'm not. I want to learn of other people's views, and establish mine. While I admit it is my hope that I can convince some people into making the choice of vegetarianism, I don't parade around asking people to tip toe around my bio. That post was unnecessary.

So I'm new here, and on my Konnichi wa! page, a member, who i think was blackstar, questioned my vegetarianism, saying that plants are alive too!

In this thread I hope to have a good discussion/argument with you guys about vegetarianism. I don't mind if you're rough, just do whatever you need to make your point as best you can. I like a tough discussion.
TO get to that first question.
I don't believe in the eating of animals because they, unlike plants, are sentient. I wont type up TOO much in this post.
Plants feel pain as well, they communicate the pain between one another, they release pain killers when in pain, they grow abnormally when under stress, and they show a preference for working together with their offspring than other plants offspring. They work as one and have a decentralized "nervous" system.

Don't care to look up the articles, but they show research articles about it here:

You are free to eat what you want and whatever makes you feel better, but I suggest eating foods where animals were treated humanely since you are sustaining your life by eating the flesh of another. Plants also feel pain so you are still eating the flesh of another living being that feels pain. The only way to avoid it is to eat fruits since plants grow fruits TO be eaten so they can spread seeds.

Animal Research is appropriate when necessary; in order to protect them or for medical reasons, though humane practices should be sought if possible - don't be cruel to a live animal in research.
I support testing on serial murders/rapists. If they die then nothing of value was lost that day.
