[Discussion] The purge (not the movie)

Purge: Breaking the law is okay for 12 hours. So if you want to steal, you can. If you want to kill, you can.



AMERICANS

Not discussing the movie, but the event itself. If we the united states actually went into that society, what would you do? Would you participate?

Will you let your hatred out like animals or as the idiot scientists who were justifying the purge said "Natural human behavior".. will you let it out? OR Will you try to stay away and keep people safe?

I highly doubt we would ever go into a society like that, and stay as the world leaders.

What would you do if you saw this happen in the united states?

And if it happened in your own countries.


PS: There is a reason why i'm restricting the Purge to only the united states (due to the movie of course), but also, because the country is very young as far as "civilization" as a country goes. And of course we have millions of "Voltaires" walking around.

Also, this is no global purge, because the possibility of that is .99% .

I'm gonna go out strapped with weapons and steal a bunch of clothes, maybe a car, videos games, food, and money from stores for a couple of hours. I'm not gonna kill anyone, I don't have the heart for that, but I'm gonna keep myself as safe as I can while being able to take advantage of the purge. After that, I'm chillin in my house. I've seen the movie and I'm not gonna stay out there long to get killed by a bunch of maniacs. I'm gonna lock my doors for the day and not let anyone in until the 12 hours are up.

There would probably be a bunch of people illegally enter the US

I would probably die the second I walk outside so I'm staying home. Or hide near a shop until I can break in then hide in the shop and bring the stuff out 1 min before everything returns to normal

Horrible excuse for a mediocre home invasion movie. The bait and switch as its finest.

As for me i would participate in the purge.

I would loot the pretty much every retailer in sight.

Clothing,Games,Food.

No need to take money since the money would of just went to buying these things anyway.

I would treat it as a free shopping spree.

I would take one minor detour though.

To a gun shop.

I never used a gun before and i don't ever plan on it.I have no interest in such things.
It is a tool for murder and nothing good comes from them.
However,i must keep myself safe from the sadistic people that would undoubtedly partake in the darkest aspects of what the purge would bring out in people.

Once i am done looting i would most likely go and out and try to keep women and children safe from sexual assault by granting them safe haven.

My friends mom owns a auto inspection garage and on top lies a banging ass apartment that we rented out for awhile.

It has no windows at the bottom just two giant commercial metal shutters.Nobody is getting in.


And the door in the living room has leads to the roof of the pizza shop next door (I know very random door right ? lol)

So we could easily (Kill if necessary) anyone who tried to attempt to break down our garage doors from the roof top.

(And no the pizza shop can't access there own roof)

And i guess what would fall under the regional or General manager's responsibilities.

I know at a general managers level they oversee functions and operations of the retail building and the regional manager is responsible for the entire chain of stores in his location.

So ultimately if anyone is losing money it would be these guys.

Anyone else lower on the chain has nothing to worry about.

But,they have to be loaded so they will live lmao

We have access to the roof so before anyone can even have time to penetrate those doors to allow bombs to seep through we will shoot them dead.

A car is the only thing that could provide them cover while also attempting to break through.

And since the street it happens to be on is a narrow back street for a supermarket.There would be no time to gain momentum to bust the shutters down.And there windows would be promptly shattered by a hail of bullets.

Point being nobody is going to spend 12 hours trying to get in our mini fortress when they can being doing literally anything else.


Could they come back with a truck or a ladder and climb the side roof yes.

Although it would take many people and most would never make it up.

Seems like a task with no actual rewards to me.
