There are many unresolved plot points which are yet to be solved in a Part 3. And Yes, there is a high possibility of Naruto and Sasuke dying in Part 3 after which the story will shift to focus on Himawari, Boruto and Sarada. Orochimaru is also gonna play a major role in this.

Part 3 would last for 200 chapters if Kishi decides to go for a full series. After all, it's the New Year Project.

Yea well he didn't have to do a part 3 to begin with..

He's likely doing it because they're probably letting him do what he wants now with it. It was all but ****ing obvious the manga was being manipulated by JUMP's editors and publishers. The whole ending to the manga was made just to promote that stupid movie, which pisses me off to no end.

Naruto hands back Sasuke's scratched headband and then they promise to settle it later.

In the final fight Naruto kept on explaining that this was not how he wanted to fight Sasuke.

He wanted to fight Sasuke over being awesome at fighting, not over ideology or some power grab.

Naruto just wants to see who is stronger, as a way to test himself and share his guts with his best friend.

Somebody's gonna die, otherwise why bring up that chakra is the pathway to the realm of the dead?

Why reveal a land of the dead unless to be shown it later?

I think it would be a bummer if Naruto and Sasuke didn't die and we never get to see the realm of the dead in NV.

It would be so cool if Naruto went to the land of the dead and did what he did on earth, help people, break cycles and rasengan some stuff.

Lol You do realize that it's not a "prophecy" but just something Naruto said right? The prophecized fight already happened at VOTE2.

That prophecy had two different ways to end.
It ended the happy way, just like in any other Shonen manga.

Kishi's messed it all up by introducing Kaguya. The death of the most popular characters would mean no $$$. Naruto and Sasuke is over, part 3 is about the kids.

There was never a prophecy stating that they would have to kill each other. Just that they would have to fight.

If the prophecy was that the Sons reincarnations would kill each other then Hashirama wouldn't have lived and Neither would Madara.

Naruto knew that if they went at each other with everything they had they'd both die. Thats your misconception.

It was never prophesied but rather predicted

They also would have died had it not been for Sakura coming to heal them.

There is no death "realm"

Naruto dying and becoming the savior of the Dead would be the dumbest thing ever.

I agree the whole story of Naruto was always pointing toward Sasuke and Naruto fighting to the Death, it might not of been the main plot but it was always there in the back of peoples minds that one day they would fight to the Death. Though I still love the story I suppose.

Do you even read manga? Elder Toad prophesied only they would battle, not kill each other. Naruto stated they both would die, presumably this was his end game if he couldn't defeat/save sasuke. Naruto however succeeded in saving his dearest friend, all is peachy.

Naruto Uzumaki FTW! :)

TotEs Dumbest EVerz.

Itachi speaks about how souls are purified by dying and how vile edo tensei is because the souls lose their purity from dying.

If there is no realm of the dead then where do the dead souls come from in edo tensei?

If there was no actual place of the dead then how would Obito claim that chakra is the connecting road from death to the living world?

The series seems to relate so strongly to DBZ I am hazarding a guess that like Goku, Naruto will enter the world of the dead...

Fortunately, neither of us are writing the official plots.
