i feel as though north korea is in a position that allows itself to transition into fascism easier than most countries. this is primarily due to the state's heavy influence and control over the nation and its institutions. that being said, what must the DPRK change as well as integrate in order to transition in a successful manner?

It is fascist. The DPRK must kill Un and most all government higher ups, get rid of the intense child brainwashing, and pretty much get a totally different, brand new government. Problem is, the government has an absolute stranglehold on the people and they think Un is God. There is no good answer for this.
The people themselves must make the decision to rebel, and that won't be happening anytime soon.

Another Hitler shall rise

I think he already has, it's just so normal to hear about NK being like that, that we don't realize that Un will try to kill off people and take over the world.

There already a Communist government, transitioning into a fascist government isn't hard from there. They isolate themselves so much that honestly, they may have a hard time changing at all.

north korea has an incompetent aristocracy, the nation is entirely based on militarization thus political power lies with generals, there is no widespread availability of basic food, a sense of community that fascism stresses has not been fostered, there is no means of production, no industrial output, the government murders its own people, a fluid class system is nonexistent, and the very fact that china supports them is proof that they are not fascist.

it seems as though you're using the word fascist as a derogatory term to describe an ideology that you disagree with. it's either that, or you simply have a poor understanding of any actual fascist ideologies.

Exactly this. NK's problem is awful. The people on the inside are brainwashed for their whole lives, outside help would only be seen as an act of aggression by them.

It's an awful situation that makes me thankful for living where I live.
