It's alright, not in a rush to argue, but the point is, the databook contradicts itself. Raikiri is stated to be able to cut cut through anything, while the Yata can block anything. See my point? I'm not saying the mirror is weak, but i certainly isn't invincible.

Thread is not even about Itachi, but you wouldn't know because I doubt you read the OP. There is hardly anyone on this base that dislikes Itachi and most of them disliked him well before this.

All attacks would lose their meaning because the mirror would block it, but not if the attack is stated to cut through anything. It's a contradiction, and you know it.

It had no effect because they were blocked. They're paper bombs, they were never stated to blow up everything in it's path. Rakiri can pierce everything though. You're barely make sense now.

They did not damage Itachi because the mirror blocked it but did they lose their meaning? No! They are meant to explode and thats what they did. Did they have no effect? No! Their effect is to explode. The shield block Itachi's from the damage. How hard is that to comprehend. I gotta bring this back to hooked on phonics for you?

The attack isn't nullified and deactivated, it just doesn't do what it is supposed to, meaning, where an explosion was supposed to cover a 10 meter radius, it only gets to the shield and fails.

the problem with yaata mirror is that the Itachi fandom abuse Kishi not showing the limits of the mirror on panel in order to extrapolate the mirrorʻs hyperbole to its literal meaning.

Raikiri was stated to be able to cut through anything
A wind blade was stated to be unstoppable
Sandaime raikageʻs body was stated to be able to withstand any ninjutsu
Even neji said ʻchakra constructs become meaningless in front of my jyuukenʻ
a complete FRS was stated to have destructive power that canʻt be imagined.

Yaata is no different, it simply never got the chance to go up against something strong enough to break it as the greatest thing its been tested with was a couple of paper bombs.
