ʻall attacks lose their meaningʻ was attributed to susanoo itself, NOT yaata mirror. and nejiʻs jyuuken gets the hype that things made out of chakra lose their meaning in front of his jyuuken. So no, Yaata is no different, the only difference is the massive fanbase who desperately want itachiʻs hype to be true.

@Bold: Not sure why you keep bringing this up. Not only is a simple Hyuuga tech nowhere near the caliber of an ethereal shield but it was also proven wrong.

This^ I was hopeing he use it against Obito when he pulled out that one sword, but im glad Itachi took it to the grave. Sasuke would be too OP. Maybe if he had split it between Naruto and Sasuke so they would not be able to kill each other.

The attack isn't nullified and deactivated, it just doesn't do what it is supposed to, meaning, where an explosion was supposed to cover a 10 meter radius, it only gets to the shield and fails.

The truth is, if someone like the Sage or Madara had been using the shield assuming it wasn't retconned, no one would have had a problem believing it. People underrate it simply because Itachi wields it. Like you are doing right now.

Show me the page that says Yata can not cover 360 degrees. Because I can show you a scan saying it changes form to defend against every attack. If the attack covers all angles it simply becomes something capable of defending against that.
