My problem is Boruto change was rushed and didn't really do anything to prove it.. We'll just have to take Sasuke word about it.
Him going to save his father was change sort to speak. He dropped the device the floor after his father 'died' and he ran to the Office to repent what he had done for the climax to have reach this point. After discussion with Sasuke in the Office, Boruto's character moved along with the headband (Sasuke's) that represented the ideals of mistakes (I think there was some actual footage cut from the Movie, because in the trailer there's a scene where Boruto is holding Sasuke's headband in the forest where they are training, but in the Movie that never happens. When Sasuke gives it to him, Boruto says "But this is...?" -- Signifying that he must know what this means, sort of).
But yeah I can understand what your saying to an extent. The whole cheating this is a blur because it took so much of his character. After defeating Momoshiki with Sasuke/Naruto, we later see Boruto on the interview and aside from what they asked him, he said he would complete the Chunin Exams on his own. Later after talking with Sarada, he stated his dream was to be her right hand man, and protect her while being a shinobi like her father.
In my opinion, it would have been cool to have a mini collage of the Chunin Exams which happened for like 3 minutes which just showed really quick scenes of the Chunin Exams (the new one) to show how he changed rather than hearing it through Boruto, Naruto, and Sasuke.
I wanted to see Boruto have a Lightning affinity, instead of wind. They should make a whole filler about the next gen chūnin exams. After the anime is finished with the VotE2.
Agreed. Him just having it wasn't enough for me, especially since Kishimoto advertised it as his main element.
I'm referring to the poster that said "MAXIMUM VOLTAGE-BORUTAGE"
They were using his name which in English is Bolt, and mimicking the first word into Volt. And he was complaining on the poster to get our name right, while having the Lighting Release Insignia on the back. Pretty retarded that he didn't use it on his own, except we just know he has it based on his discussion with Naruto.
Still not enough for me and I was heavily disappointed.
