They don't understand, or in some cases even read the chapters most of the time. The only time they will try and read is when the explanation is about a certain jutsu or some strong character. Other than that, they're only reading or should I say looking for the fight panels.
Naruto is majorly based on idealism, individualism, camaraderie and other aspects pertaining to day to day lives and struggles of the common people.
Violence and jutsus make up a small part of this manga, and even during 90% of the fights, strategy is the main component which is sadly too complicated for this fanbase since its made up of non-English speaking, over enthusiastic, impatient little juveniles who could care less about the depth of this story.
And that's why there are so many haters. I'm not calling anyone dumb but yeah..........
