The last panel showed us that Konohamaru is going to fight a Kara member(which look like OP individuals)

If according to kishi "It can be done" this is Kodachi's opportunity to show us that yes naruto characters will die in boruto series. It would be good to kill off Konohamaru here in terms of plot and character development . what do u think?

Still no. No one wants to see Konohamaru fighting for three months, and the only person his death would really affect is Naruto. His students don't have enough of a built up relationship with him to realistically feel something if he dies.

^ this, konohamaru has way too little screen time and connection with the new gen to kill off for any reason whatsoever.... however.... I don't think he's gonna have too good of a time against this kara member

i was really hoping for him to being the 8th and the first uchiha being the 9th. if they do kill him this would make the third sarutobi to die during the series. thats kinda ****ed. almost as bad as the uchiha. hopefully konohamaru was able to plant the seed before his possible demise.

Too early to kill him off my man. The author need to spend enough time for Konohamaru screen time and his interaction with his squad if thats what serves him as an "important character close to Boruto"

Wait... so this is just the latest chapter before translation? If he fights a member of Kara, It only makes sense plot wise that he will have a really hard time. He won't die though, that would be asanine. like others have said, no one cares enough about him yet to impact boruto, sarada etc. He should be pretty strong by now right? He knew the rasengan before the time skip, and used it effectively. I think what's going to happen is the next chapter will show off two things. Konohameru's development and power, and Kara's ability to stand against it. Kara will most likely force him to retreat, but I don't think he will be completely overpowered.

He will definitely be outclassed and I could see him being killed. In this scenario, Sasuke takes control of his squad after that. It would be development for sasuke taking students under his wing after all he has done.

Konoha could also survive but in very bad shape to send a message and alert everyone about the new threat. I don't know ikemoto's style really but I think if this were kishimoto he would wait to kill of konohamaru when it would have a greater emotional impact on team 7.
