The people who hate cops are normally the ones who get caught by them... They're just doing their job and they get hated for it.... I just don't get it... I know there are some that are corrupt and abuse their power but there are actually good ones out there...

Police officers are there to serve the people. Like it or not without federal or state officers the country and world would be,in chaos and anarchy. Some might not like their methods because it prohibits the actions of the everyday human, but it only prohibuts actions if your doing something thats against the law. Like stated before the only people who dont like officers of the law are tgose who get caught by them or those who comit illegal actions

I just thought it would be something to look at considering Obama is trying to ban guns. I'm not saying we shouldn't have cops but we can't always trust cops to "protect and serve" as they are supposed to. That is why we should be allowed guns.

Just watched the whole vid... It's sickening how those pigs are given all the glory when all they did was stand there and watch him get stabbed to death. Glad to see that he made it out alive, hopefully he gets a chance in court.

Edit: Seems like some of the people who posted before me didn't even watch the video. Smh

Yeah, they SHOULD, but there is no laws that say that they are required to help.

The best quote for this kind of thread, is "when seconds count the police are always minutes late".

The police are not obligated in any form to protect individuals or familys. They are only obligated to protect society in general.

Here is the court ruling that established this.

But since we are on this topic, why dont i show you some effective anti gun, anti rape methods, that should be employed.

-"Tell your attacker that you have a disease or are menstruating," reads one tip on the list.

"Vomiting or urinating may also convince the attacker to leave you alone," reads another.

these are "last resort" anti rape tips, that were given out, in a state. These are apparently good alternatives to self defense.(im sarcastic if you cant tell)

Ohh and lets not forget the anti rape whistle!

The purpose of a gun, is to show it to deter a person, and hopefully to never have to fire it. But if the situation is bad enough then the gun should be strong enough to stop the person or group of people. Also, the right to bear arms (or "the right to bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED APON") exists mostly, as a other form of checks and balance on the government. We are obligated as citizens of the USA that if our government becomes to oppressive we then are to raise arms, and to abolish the oppresive government, and reform the nation. The right to bear arms exists, to protect and ensure that all the other ammendments are protected. We would still be part of britain today, without the founders riseing up against the oppressive goverment.

Any ways, that is all for now.

Haha, no. So much wrong with this. I'm guessing you want to start a gun debate now though?

Corruption in the police force certainly exists in other countries, but it seems particularly rampant in America. Pretty much everyone who is in a position of power is out to **** you.

As far as guns go...tighter regulations and limitations on what guns you can buy. Tax the bullets. More guns = more problems.

Agree.

There are good cops who are hated by those that assume all cops are bad.

If he takes away guns...People will find diffrent weopens to kill threats. Plane and simple...He needs to back off and the cops can't always be there when you really need them.

If you would've watched the video there was clearly a law broken. I mean if stabbing someone on the subway is against the law in New York. Lol.

@WastelandSociety:I wasn't saying all cops are bad, I was just saying they aren't always going to help you when you are in need.
