Something like her family being killed by war, and that she had to eat the fruit to stop it.

And then the tree manipulated her into achieving his plans.

Most likely Kaguya will be TNJed out of the tree influence.

Later Naruto will use SM to telepathically talk with the tree and gain his trust.

Actually it does. The Shinju emobied itself as the Juubi out of vengance for Kaguya eating the fruit thus brining chakra to humanity. Sound like a sentient action to me.

OT: You know, this is actually plausible with the way Kishi is doing things. But honestly, I'm so over the "my past was tragic so now I need to take over the world" Villain. Every villian save Orochimaru is like this. I hope Kaguya is just out to see the world burn....It'd be a great change of pace and also make her immune to TNJ.

When you put it that way it sounds like a plausible course of story . The tree already talked but we are saying it was Kaguya. However Kurama mentioned multiple times in the manga that Juubi is a conciousless entity which created countries and destroyed lands
