Chapter 2: The Forest...

Amelia and her parents stood there looking at their beloved's tombstone. Amelia placed roses on her grave. They stood there for a bit in silence. Then after a while they got back into the truck, and left.

Amelia was wide awake this time. That dream had really woken her up. Kind of ironic, she thought. It started raining again. They had two hours to go. She looked outside, but for what? It was the same view. Fields after fields after fields. She loved living in the country because of the solitude away from others were so peaceful.

They stopped at Taco Ramones in the city of Bloomings. Bloomins was a rather small city though. They walked in, order food, and sat down.

Amelia noticed a boy. This boy was Xavier Johnson. A boy who she had a crush on. He was so cute, but it would never happen. She didn't want to talk to him either. She was afraid of what she would say wrong.

She then noticed something strange. She saw Xavier's shadow start moving by itself! She froze. The shadow formed into the hooded person from before. The person stood right by Xavier. She tried to say something, but couldn't.

The person then pulled out a strange long black blade. He rose it over Xavier's head. Amelia broke her silence and yelled, "Xavier!! Run!!"

Everyone including Xavier looked at her. She became so embarrassed, and ran into the restrooms. She turned the faucet on, and washed her face. She looked into the mirror, and told herself, "What's going on with me?"

"Nothing," said a deep voice from behind. She turned around to face the person. She wanted to scream and yell, but she became frozen again. She then asked under her breath, "Who are you? What do you want?"

"Hehe, are you scared of me?" he asked. She could tell it was a man. He was really tall as well. "No, I'm not!" Amelia said, but she was. Who was this guy?

"I am merely nothing you need to know about at this point in time," he said. "I only want what's best for you. Do you understand?"

"No, I don't," she said wanting to run.

"Of course you don't. You're merely a child." He turned around. She faced his back. A strange sign was on the back of his cloak. It was a red eye. She remembered where she saw an eye like that from before.

He turned his face and said, "Come to the forest near your home. There all secrets shall be revealed...so long then." He disappeared. It was like he just faded away into the shadows.

She then said, "I must be losing my mind. Must be some perverted magician, or something..." Should she go? She had a strange feeling about this. She felt that she had to go to the forest. She just had to.

When many left Taco Ramones they finally left. Their home was only one hour away now. It was starting to get dark, and of course it was still raining. After an hour they finally got home. They got out, and quickly ran inside. Well her parents did, but not her. She looked at the forest that laid there at the bottom of the hill.

She thought about who the guy was. Was he a pervert, or something else? She had to be careful. She knew she wasn't hallucinating. He was real. She looked at her hand, and imagined the scythe. What a strange feeling.

She went into the house, and ran upstairs to her room. She closed her door, and stood in the middle of her room. She thought about the scythe very strongle, and then looked at her hand. She did the same thing again and again. How she wanted a dream like that again.

She turned on the TV, and sat at her desk. She looked at her phone, and saw a new text message from her friend Bethany.

Bethany was her only friend. The others were idiots. The text read:
"hey, umm...everyone's talking about what happened today. I got many texts from people...sorry, we can't be friends anymore. It's not you, it's me. I-"

Amelia deleted the text, and sent one that read:
"Well good, so long you brat!"

She sebt the text. No wonder why she loves animals so much. They didn't judge or act stupid. They loved you no matter what.

She turned the news on. The weatherman was talking about a Tornado Watch that was now in effect. The she heard her mother calling for her from downstairs.

Amelia turned off her TV, and went downstairs to the lving room. Her parents were sitting down, and so she sat down as well. They smiled at her. "What?" she asked nicely.

Her parents looked at her and at each other. "Your father and I've been talking, and we want to make sure you're alright."

"I'm alright," Amelia said. "Why wouldn't I be, haha." She knew it. Her parents thought she was crazy for what happened today at Taco Ramones.

"Are you seeing things not real?" asked her father straight out. "Albert," said her mother angry at him. "What your dad is trying to say is..umm...well what happened in Taco Ramones, we know you saw something," she said. "Then when you went into the restroom, I followed you. Outside the door I heard you talking to someone, but no one was in there talking to you. We just want to help if anything's wrong."

Amelia felt something, and yelled, "You can help by not acting so stupid!"
Her father yelled at her, "Amelia! How dare you talk to us that way!"

She ran outside and down to the hill to the forest. She heard her parents calling for her. She could feel the rain hit her face. She felt she had to run no matter what. Suddenly she slipped and fell. She landed in mud, but she still got up and ran. She made it into the forest.

Amelia ran very deep into the forest, but she didn't remember the forest being this deep. She made it to the river where she and her father used to fish all the time. Then the earth rumbled. A dozen of the red eye creatures from her dream surrounded her! They fidgeted and buzzed like bees. They all jumped at her, but a great golden light appeared. The creatures were thrown back, as the golden scythe appeared in her hand.

The the rain got harder. The river had waves that were crashing on the shore. The wind blew strong as well. Hail fell and hit her. They stung hard, and she couldn't believe what she saw next. A giant tornado appeared, and the little monsters disappeared. Trees were ripped from their roots, and Amelia was sucked in. She closed her eyes, and hugged her knees. She could hear the tornado's roar piercing her ears. Everything got faster and faster and fast; but then suddenly everything stopped, and became silent.

She could the cool breeze hit gently on her face. She got up in pain, and saw the scythe still in her grasp. She then got on her knees all shaken up still, and saw the road she was on. It was made of yellow bricks, but totally broken and crumbling into nothing.

"Where-where am I?"

She got up, and looked around. She was on a thrashed yellow brick road, and surrounding her were fields of dead and shrivled crops that were slowly turning into dust. The skies were red as blood, and the clouds were very dark. Where was she?
