of course they did copy dragonball and star wars just look at war greymon's gaia force it's a rip-off spirit bomb

I'm pretty sure it's not:
-digimon never copied a thing from pokemon.
-pokemon copied the mega evoloution and some designs like a candle monster.
-the concept of using monsters to fight for you was used in shin megami tensei before pokemon so it's not special
-digimon technically came out first; bandai created tamagochi and then they wanted to make another version of it more for boys and that's how digimon was born so it more like a tamagochi rip-off.
