You planned all that out but you couldn't be bothered at least made a little bit more effort in finding a more valid information regarding her status? I'm sorry for what happened to you but you should probably be a bit more cautious next time so you won't end up getting your feelings hurt again.
- Start a conversation with that girl so you'll be able to get to know her better because a simple mistake like what you've made shows that you don't know her very well. It'll also help you learn more about her - it will help you understand your feelings for you; whether you like her based on her looks or based on both her personalities and features. I've made a once where I dated a girl based on her looks and ended up spending four month caring about her and the final two month being bored and couldn't care because once you dated a girl based on their looks alone - all you get in the end is hurting her and yourself.
- Planned it more differently next time and instead of leaving her clues, just go straight to her and hand her the gift because it'll help you prevent any sort of embarrassment you might received by making her kept her feelings and answers for too long, prevent yourself from falling into depression and nervousness. Plus, it'll probably boost your chances because apparently, most females prefer a male who's brave enough to hand it face to face rather than cowardly hiding and hoping for an answer they prefer.
- Edible arrangement? And it's worth 40$? Girls may find it as a good gift but not a great gift. You could've gave her a flower; her favorite flower to be exact - if you had known her better, you might have find out what her likes and dislikes are which will benefit you a lot when it comes to giving her gifts. A flower and a chocolate [ but ignore the chocolate unless it's valentines day or you're on your second date ] and it'll probably cost you around 4$+ and you would've saved yourself a lot of money and trouble.
Next time, get to know a girl more before deciding on something like that and good luck for the future.
I know bro, thats basically what I said, thats not what I need to hear man, you're being an ass
Calling someone an ass for criticizing your own mistake is uncalled for; especially when that someone is giving you a truthful answer instead of a harsh reply. What exactly were you hoping to hear? Someone comforting you for your own stupid mistake? If that's the reason for this thread then stop, because no one gives a bloody damn about a guy who's apparently
a senior assuming that a girl doesn't have a boyfriend based on a simple and lazy excuse such as; "I heard she was single". It'll be different if you were younger. Next time, put a bit more effort into your plans.
I apologize if my replies are harsh which I believe they are if the person couldn't accept an advice.
Good luck on your future crushes.
